About Kiara Johns
Dr. Johns is a board-certified family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). She is passionate about providing empathetic, quality, evidence-based care to my patients in a timely and efficient manner.
She has nearly ten years of experience in the mental health field as a nurse and nurse practitioner working with children and adults in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, emergency care, and telehealth settings. Kiara began her career in 2013 as a registered nurse on an acute inpatient adolescent psychiatric unit. She continued to work in the acute inpatient setting with children and adolescents until 2016, at which time she completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and began working in the psychiatric emergency room at one of the largest children’s hospitals in Alabama. Kiara transitioned to the outpatient setting working with the child and adolescent population in 2017 and later transitioned to working with adults in a psychiatric urgent care setting from 2018 to 2021. She has worked in the telepsychiatry setting with adult patients since late 2021.

About Patricia Reed
Patricia Reed, CRNP, PMHNP-BC joins us with over 12 years experience in the nursing industry. Starting as a patient care tech, she worked her way up to her current role of mental health provider. Patricia holds an Associate in Nursing (ADN) and an Associate in Allied Health, both from Faulkner State Community College, Bay Minette, AL. In 2015, Reed earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Troy State University, Troy, AL. She later pursued her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL; with this degree conferred in 2018. Patricia is dually-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). Reed is an active member of the American Nurses Association and the Alabama State Nurses Association. Patricia has worked full-time as an outpatient psychiatric provider for the last 3 years while also taking weekend call as a FNP rounding on adults and children admitted to inpatient psychiatric hospitals.
